As one of the partners of the East Orlando Gym, Ana brings a diverse background in education and community engagement. Born in Honduras and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Ana's journey led her to pursue higher education, culminating in a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Education from the University at Albany in Albany, NY. Her family relocated to Avalon Park ten years ago, establishing strong roots within the community.With nearly three decades of experience in education, Ana has taught a broad spectrum of learners from PreK to adults, specializing in Spanish language instruction. Her role as an ESOL Compliance Specialist at Timber Creek High School over the last four years has deepened her commitment to educational outreach and engagement. She was also Teacher of the Year last year at TCHS!Passion fuels her endeavors. Ana is dedicated to crafting diverse programming that actively involves youth and their families, spanning arts, video gaming, athletics, academics, and cultural events. Moreover, she aims to expand these programs to embrace differently-abled youth and their families, promoting inclusivity.Ana's interests extend beyond traditional education. She is focused on empowering others with knowledge about Mental Health and Women's Health. Additionally, she is an advocate for holistic well-being, embracing practices like Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Baths to nurture both the mind and body.In her personal life, Ana is rediscovering the joy of running, Zumba, and workouts – activities that have become an essential part of her routine. This commitment to personal fitness mirrors her dedication to fostering a healthy lifestyle within the East Orlando Gym community.
