Xtreme Hip Hop Step
Monique is a certified Xtreme Hip Hop Step Instructor and the founder of Moe-Fit Essentials, a wellness brand dedicated to empowering plus-size women over 40 through movement, mindset, and motivation.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Monique’s fitness journey began in 2014, just months after the passing of her mother. After serving as her mother’s caregiver for four years—while also raising three young daughters as a single mom—Monique realized she had spent years putting her own health last. Inspired by her mother’s battle with weight-related health issues, she made the decision to reclaim her well-being.
She started with Zumba and group workouts at a local park, eventually building a consistent fitness routine that helped her lose over 60 pounds. Fitness became her therapy, and in 2018 she discovered Xtreme Hip Hop Step. Her passion for the program grew, and in 2020, she became a certified instructor through Phillip Weeden’s virtual certification class.
In 2021, Monique and her daughters relocated to the Orlando area, where she continues to build community and inspire women through her classes and coaching. With a heart for helping others and a story rooted in resilience, Monique empowers women to take charge of their health—one step at a time.
